Scholarship Application

Scholarship Requirements

Scholarships will be granted annually not to exceed the four years that the recipient is enrolled in college.  The Palm Springs Police Officers' Association Scholarship Fund will annually determine the amount of the scholarships, with an additional two scholarships from the PSPOA Norm Lofthus Scholarship fund.


Applicant Requirements:

  • All immediate children of all PSPD Employees who are senior in high school and/or currently attending a college or university
  • All PSPD Police Explorers
  • All graduating seniors attending Palm Springs High School

Applicants must have a GPA of at least 3.00. Students not selected will be notified.  Criteria used for selection are financial need, scholarships, the applicant's desire to continue their education and obtain a degree along with their involvement in their community, i.e. Police Explorer Programs, or other community-type organizations where they may volunteer their time.

*APPLICATION IS DUE NO LATER THAN JULY 31ST.  INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE REVIEWED.
